Just The Tonic Right Royal Comedy Shindig
Sunday 5th June 2022
Hillside Farm, Pepper Hill, Great Amwell, Ware, Hertfordshire, SG12 9RZ
Sunday 5th June 2022
General
Just The Tonic Comedy Shindig has been conceived as an effort by a group of independent promoters, to deliver first-class quality entertainment, from some of the finest comedians there are, and at a great price!
For our first year, we're bringing you a fantastic line up of legendary comedians on a big outdoor stage, with video screens for enhanced enjoyment and unreserved seating available for everyone.
There will be a large licensed bar serving a great range of drinks, and food from all over the globe.
Parking is FREE and upon your arrival, our Stewards will direct you to the appropriate parking area if Disabled Parking is required.
Each attendee can bring a small bottle of water or soft drink up to 500ml, if it remains sealed as bought. Free drinking water will be available at points throughout the show, so you can bring an empty reusable plastic or aluminium bottle to the event for water refills. Alcohol cannot be brought into the event.
Any person with specific dietary requirements can inform us in advance and where suitable options aren't available on site, we will give dispensation to bring suitable food to the event. Personal picnics are also permitted into the event, upon arrival and first entry only, but no metal/glass utensils, flasks or cool boxes, for safety and security reasons. Further food or take away food cannot be brought in during the event. We will have a wide choice of caterers who will be very reasonably priced.
Please note, to allow time for security bag searches, we are operating a 'no big bags policy', so no large rucksacks or bags, are permitted. Only small rucksacks/bags with length/width dimensions no larger than a piece of A4 paper, can be brought into the arena.
You are welcome to bring children but there are no concession ticket prices. Parental guidance is recommended as this will be an unscripted live comedy event. Tickets for under 5s are not required.
It is very important to us, as the organisers, that we ensure that the event is accessible to everyone. This includes the availability of accessible free parking, toilets, including disabled toilets, and designing the site so that it utilises level, flat routes, to make the event as accessible as possible for wheelchair users
There will also be a dedicated viewing area for wheelchair users to view the event, though it does have a capacity and will be first come first served to wheelchair users and their companions.
Any person with additional needs who requires a free accompanying ticket for a carer or assistant, can email info@churchendcomedy.com or via our Contact page where we will make provision for this directly.
If you have any other specific requirements, let us know via our Contact page and where at all possible, we'll endeavour to help.
There is a large car park which will be manned by our stewards and there is NO CHARGE for this car parking at the event. There will be clear signposting on the day to the car park and the location is shown on the aerial map at the top of this page.
The Event gates will open at 2.30pm and the show starts at 4.00pm and finishes just before 10.00 pm. Car Parks will be open 90 minutes before the gate opening times.
Once you have presented your tickets for entry you will get a wristband and can then enter and leave the event at your leisure.
We're fans as much as you are and know the importance of the basics at these events. For this reason, we're making sure that not only do we have lots of toilets available at the event, but we will also have a team of cleaners to ensure that the toilets remain clean and stocked throughout the day.
There is no ATM facility on the event site but all the bars will accept credit and debit cards, including contactless.
Dogs, kept on leads at all time, are allowed into the event. There will be dog waste disposal points located in the site.
Just the Tonic Comedy Shindig will be a family-friendly event and the team run a number of festivals and events around the UK. Our Security Provider are specialists in Live Events and we support our provider in ensuring that our zero-tolerance approach to anti-social or disruptive behaviour maintains a calm and enjoyable atmosphere for everyone.
Also available on site are a team of professional medical staff to assist with any problems.
We also have comprehensive safeguarding policies including a professional approach to dealing with lost children to ensure that all possible steps are taken to keep everyone as safe as possible.
Covid Safety Info
Covid is creating a rapidly evolving landscape for events in the UK. The roadmap gives the go ahead for outdoor live events and festivals in the UK but our team, like most, are planning a series of comprehensive safety measures to ensure that public safety and specifically Covid-19 safety is of the utmost importance.
We will fully comply with any requirements in place linked to NHS Test and Trace, as well as any subsequent requirements to demonstrate proof of recent negative tests. We expect that it is likely that everyone may need proof of a recent negative test to enter festivals this summer, though persons fully vaccinated may be exempted from this requirement. We will react swiftly to any further changes to requirements or legislation and keep customers fully informed of this and all other steps that we are taking to ensure that the safety of our customers is not compromised in any way.
We will also be ensuring that a dedicated team of trained cleaners are providing regular and thorough deep cleaning of all commonly touched items, toilets, tables, bar surfaces etc. There will be ample hand sanitiser and disinfectants available and customers will be readily encouraged to make frequent use of these facilities.
